Planetia is an educational iPad app that lets kids ages 5-9 explore the solar system. It includes six modes: Explore (interactive 3D solar system), Size Comparison, Space Quiz, Customize (planet coloring), What If? (gravity physics sandbox), and Build Your Own Solar System.

Planetia is designed exclusively for iPad. It requires iPadOS 17.0 or later. The app is optimized for the iPad's larger screen to give kids the best experience exploring planets and building solar systems.

Yes. Planetia is published in Apple's Kids Category and complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). The app contains no ads, no social features, no external links accessible to children, and collects no personal data. All app data is stored locally on your device.

When you first download Planetia, you get 7 days of full access to every feature, including Customize, What If?, Build Your Own, and all quiz difficulty levels. After the trial, Explore mode, Size Comparison, and Easy-level quizzes remain free. Everything else requires a one-time premium unlock.

Planetia uses a single one-time purchase (no subscription). The price is displayed in the app and may vary by region. Once purchased, you own it forever and it works across all iPads signed into the same Apple ID. Family Sharing is supported, so one purchase covers your entire family.

If you've already purchased Planetia Premium and need to restore it (for example, after reinstalling the app or on a new iPad), open the app and go to the upgrade screen. Tap "Restore Purchase." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.

Quiz scores, badges, ranks, and saved solar systems are stored locally on your iPad. If the app was deleted and reinstalled, this data is not recoverable. Premium purchase status is tied to your Apple ID and can always be restored, but progress data cannot.

Yes. After downloading, Planetia works entirely offline. No internet connection is needed to explore, take quizzes, customize planets, or use any other feature. The only action that requires an internet connection is making or restoring a purchase.

As your child takes quizzes, they earn badges for specific achievements (like getting a perfect score or answering quickly) and climb through six ranks from Space Cadet to Admiral based on total quiz points. Badges and ranks are displayed in the quiz section of the app.

What If? is a gravity physics sandbox where kids can change the rules of the solar system and watch what happens. Scenarios include removing Jupiter, doubling Earth's mass, adding a second sun, and more. Kids can also build their own custom scenarios. Real gravitational physics drive the simulation.
